Kingdom Movie Review: Vijay Deverakonda has been without a hit for a long time. He is experimenting, but the expected results are not coming. In this context, this time, he made the film Kingdom with the determination to score a hit. This film, produced under the Sitara banner, was directed by Gautham Tinnanuri. Let's see how far this film, which hit the theaters today, has connected with the audience.

Story

Suri (Vijay Deverakonda) and Shiva (Satyadev) are brothers. Suri works as a police constable. He grows up under the care of his uncle Yadagiri. Suri's mother is worried about her eldest son, Shiva. Shiva murdered his father when he was young and ran away from that village. Where did he go? Suri is trying to find out how he is now. The only goal in front of him is to bring his brother home.

Suri is more passionate .. less afraid. It has been his habit since the beginning to complete his planned work. That allows him to do an undercover operation. He agrees to do it to meet his older brother. On that mission, he travels to Sri Lanka. He learns that his older brother is in the Jaffna jail and goes there as a prisoner.

Suri sees his older brother for the first time in the Jaffna jail. He understands the environment in which Shiva grew up.. and the circumstances in which he is currently. But Shiva does not know that his younger brother is Suri. What happens between the two of them there? What is the undercover operation entrusted to Suri? Will Suri's wish to get out of there with Shiva be fulfilled? That is the rest of the story.

Analysis

This is a story that mainly revolves around the emotions of brothers. This is the story of a younger brother who yearns to find and bring back his older brother, who ran away from home as a child. The story takes place between the coastal area of Srikakulam and the coastal area of Sri Lanka. Interestingly, the director starts this story with a scene about the relationship between the people of the coastal region of Sri Lanka and Suri.

The scenes where the hero prepares to go to Sri Lanka are interesting. However, the scenes after the hero goes there are not as impressive as expected. The audience expects emotional scenes with the elder brother and love and romance with the beautiful heroine. However, the director does not seem to have focused on those things.

The villain is new. The villainism seems a bit powerful. The audience imagines some key scenes in the film at the next level. However, those scenes go far beyond those expectations. The violence that started in the pre-climax stops in the climax. It seems that the hero looks normal from the beginning and gets angry at the end, so the expected purpose is not fulfilled.

Performance

Since it is a film from the Sithara banner, there is nothing special to say about the production values. Although the story written by Gautham Tinnanuri seems a bit different, he could not connect it completely. He tried to show the hero's character in a range without designing strong scenes. He rushed to say warrior .. sun .. god.

Vijay Deverakonda appears with a new look. Except for the Telangana accent, this character runs away from his regular body language. Bhagyashree Borse shines beautifully. That's all. It is not even a remarkable character. Satyadev .. young villain Venkitesh's performance is also seen within the scope of the character. Girish Gangadharam .. Joman T. John's photography and Anirudh's background music can be said to be a special attraction of the film. Naveen Nooli's editing is okay.

Conclusion: This is a story in which Vijay Deverakonda looks different from his body language. Trying to make the story .. main characters stand out without designing the scenes properly seems to be a minus. The fact that the scenes that the audience expected were flat and the lack of love and romance were disappointing to them is something that I must say. If these things had been taken care of, the film would have definitely gone to the next level.
