Since the beginning of the series, the story of Tanjiro Kamado has won over fans and the anime has transformed the success of Shonen Jump into a global phenomenon. With three anime seasons under its belt, Demon Slayer returned this year with the third season which adapted the Katana Blacksmith Village arc.

So far, ufotable has not yet revealed what will be in store for fans in this anime update. But soon after the third season ended, Demon Slayer quickly confirmed a fourth season was already in the works. The next anime will adapt the Hashira training story arc from the manga, so this means that we will see Tanjiro involved in a very challenging phase of his life. Hopefully ufotable will be ready to release a preview of this upcoming story arc on December 10th.

The events of the manga written and illustrated by Gotōge are set in Japan, in the Taishō Period. The protagonist, Tanjiro, is the eldest son of a large fatherless family, who lives in an isolated mountain house in the woods. One day, he finds his mother and brothers massacred, with the exception of his sister Nezuko, who transformed into a demon, but with some human thoughts and emotions. Tanjiro thus begins his journey in search of a cure to make his sister human again.
