Chhorii 2’ is one of the Hindi films that went straight to OTT during the lockdown and became a super hit. The sequel to this film, starring actress Nushrat Bharuch, has been brought back by the makers on Prime Video. Let’s see how this horror sequel is in the review.

Chhorii 2 Movie Story:

After Sakshi (Nushrat Bharucha) surrenders to the police for killing her husband Rajbir/Hemant (Saurabh Goyal), the police do not arrest her due to lack of proper evidence. After that, she brings her daughter Ishani (Hardika Sharma) to the city and raises her as a teacher. Seven years pass like this. However, due to Ishan's problem, she cannot come out in the sun.

In their life, which is going on very carefully, one day, the villagers who left Ishani behind are kidnapped and take her back to the village. Why would they take that child away? What do you think they should do with their child? Will Sakshi save her daughter or not? What did Sakshi's friend, Samar (Gashmir Mahajani), who became a police officer, do? Also, what does Desi Maa (Soha Ali Khan) want to do with that child? You have to watch this film to know.

Chori 2 Movie Analysis:

Since the first part was a hit, the audience has high expectations for Part 2. However, even though there is no sequel to the original Marathi film, the point of the sequel planned by the Hindi producers seems interesting. It is good to add some superstitions to the primitive man and social elements, including horror.

It can be said that Chori will give a good treat to those who try horror thrillers with good suspense without any expectations. Even if you have not seen Part 1 and have seen Part 2 directly, those who have seen it for the first time may like this film after seeing some scenes from the first part. In the first half, the movie has good horror elements right from the beginning.

Also, in the same category, some other horror scenes are thrilling. Also, in the second half, some scenes are quite interesting and it feels a little more thrilling when it reaches the climax. Who is that primitive man? The story woven around him seems interesting. Also, the message given at the end regarding child marriages, unlike this story, seems decent.

Among the actors, it must be said that Nushrat Bharucha has given a solid performance. In the climax portion, her performance is more impressive. Along with her, the child actress Hardika Sharma, who played her daughter, did very well. Actress Soha Ali Khan also gave a solid performance as Desi Ma. Along with them, Gashmeer did well in a supporting role.

The line was taken well in this movie. The scope for Part 2 was created well, but the story slowed down here and there in the second half. The scenes in the underground setup are like a messy puzzle and seem to be a bit repetitive.

The episodes on Nushrat should have been reduced. With this, the story would have become a little more gripping. Also, in the second half, more scenes were added, and Samar's character was presented nominally. It would have been better if his role had been balanced a little. Along with these, if you think of these repeated scenes, the story also progresses slowly here. This may make you feel bored in some places.

Technical category:

This film can be said to be technically strong. T-Series' production values are solid. All the setups required for the main point of the film have been created and presented with excellent artwork. The camera work is also impressive in many scenes. In addition to that, the background score work that is heard in such scenes is also good in this.

The work of the director of this film, Vishal Furia, is good. He has handled many thrilling elements, including horror, well. Also, the way he dealt with the first half is good, but it would have been better if he had dealt with the entire second half in the same way. The story seems a bit dull until the climax. Apart from this, everything else has been filmed well.

Conclusion:

As seen overall in this “Chori 2”, there are horror elements here and there, but the thrilling elements also seem interesting to those who started in this franchise for the first time with this film. Also, it is good to end with the same role as Nushrat Bharucha in this film.

Those who were very impressed with the first part may be disappointed with this movie. The second half, although some scenes seem a bit boring, seems good for those who have tried this movie on OTT for the first time.
