Kaafir Movie Review: On June 15, 2019, the Hindi series 'Kaafir' was streamed on 'Zee5'. This series greeted the audience with 8 episodes. It is known that series have taken the form of movies in recent times. Also, this series has now come to the audience as a movie. This movie is streaming on 'Zee5' from the 4th of this month. Let's see how this movie, which has Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina in the lead roles, is doing.
Kaafir Movie Story:
Kainaz (Dia Mirza) is a young girl from Pakistan. There, she is married to Farooq, a member of a middle-class family. However, blaming her for not having children, her husband marries another woman. Due to this, her heart is broken. Feeling that there is no point in living anymore, she jumps into the 'river'. However, she is swept away by the river and crosses the Line of Control (LoC) in India.
At that very moment, the Indian Army catches some militants on the banks of the river. Along with them, she also spends her time in prison under the guise of a terrorist. While serving her sentence, she gives birth to a baby girl. She names the baby 'Sehar'. Vedant, who lost his younger brother in the terrorist attack, decides to free Kainaz.
Kainaz tells the army that she was only sentenced to 15 months when she was caught, but she has been in jail for seven years. She says that she came to know about her pregnancy only after she survived. So he starts trying hard to free her from jail.
Then, Vedant realizes that she has lied to him about some things. What are the things she has hidden? What are the reasons for that? What are the reasons why he wants to help only her? The story moves forward, touching on these issues.
Kaafir Movie Analysis:
'Kaafir' .. is one of the biggest web series to come out of Bollywood. In terms of production values, it is no less than Bollywood action movies. It seems that the story has moved forward without compromising on the locations suitable for the story. It is known that this content has been presented as a series of 8 episodes. But while watching the movie, they were careful not to know where the length was reduced.
However, telling a story as a series is different .. showing it as a movie is different. Even if the series is shown slowly, the audience will watch it. But when it comes to the movie, the story should be made to run fast. In this regard, it must be said that the second half of this movie is damaged. The story starts moving slowly from the point where it is still an hour long. It follows the same method till the end and makes one impatient.
Performance:
The way the director reveals the delicate emotions intertwined around the main characters is good. However, the time taken for that seems to be too much. The dialogue 'Someone fights to stay together .. but we fought to be separated' is the highlight of the entire film.
All the artists who played the main roles did it very naturally. It must be said that the locations suitable for the story are the main attraction of this film. Ravi Singhal's theme music .. Raju Singh's background score are a plus for this film. Prateek Shah's camera work gets high marks.
Conclusion:
In terms of production values .. storytelling .. filming, this content seems to be good. However, since the series is presented as a film, there is a natural difference in the story. That is what happened in the case of this film as well. This film, which does not have any objectionable scenes .. dialogues, can be watched with the family.
